first you multiply 2×5 = 10
than you add 10+3 = 13

We can figure this out by using PEMDAS, an acronym that stands for Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction. This is the order that you solve an equation in.

In PEMDAS, Multiplication comes before addition so we wound multiply 2 times 5 to get 10, then we add the 3 to get 13.
